Professor Sibghatullah Farooqui awarded with the prestigious "National Emeritus Fellowship"

Professor Sibghatullah Farooqui, Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University has been awarded with the prestigious "National Emeritus Fellowship" by the University Grants' Commission (UGC) for the year 2014-2015. Prof. Farooqui started his career as lecturer in the Department of Commerce, AMU about three decades back. He has served as Chairman of the department and Dean, Faculty of Commerce.

Prof. Farooqui has also served the University in different capacities such as Provost of various Halls of residence, administrator at Ahmadi School for Visually Challenged and also as Officiating Vice Chancellor of the University. Prof. Farooqui has excellent academic career with doctoral degree in International Trade to his credit. His core area of specialization is international business.
